Well, with the wedding coming we decided to wait to fix the damage until we were a bit more financially secure. We brought the car in about a week after Thanksgiving. It was only supposed to take a week, but the mechanic had surgery just around the time he was starting work so it took about 2 1/2 weeks. Since this meant that we got to test drive a 2007 Malibu for a couple of weeks courtesy of our insurance company we didn't mind too much. Also, the car place threw in a few minor repairs and a discount for taking so long with the car. Yay!
Yesterday we picked up the newly refurbished (and sparkling clean - I don't think I've seen it that clean since the first time STM let me drive it ;) ) car. It's nice to have the good old Prizm back :) Even if the Malibu DID have wicked pickup and a great sound system ;D
