This is a formal request to any critter out there who/which might have a bit of influence with the weather:
My friends lost Simon Templar, one of their llamas, last week due to parasites, which grow much more quickly during drought. They keep their llamas as companions, (and they also guard sheep flocks, go figure!) not livestock animals, so it was like losing a close friend.
Other friends, who own a vineyard, will probably have to cut 30% of their crop this year in order to get any harvest at all without overstressing (and therefore possibly killing) the vines.
They aren't the only ones: everyone in this area is suffering from this drought.
Please send us some good, soaking, gentle rains.
